Through her differences, Ayla becomes a self-sufficient woman, able to take care of herself.
Of course the magic described by Auel is certainly imagined more than researched, but there may well be grains of the truth scattered in. K, here is an embarassing story about this book: I found myself gripping the steering wheel caverrnario my car as I listened to her struggle for survival. When I learned about this book some years ago, I was intrigued.
Although this series is marketed as young adult I would recommend it for older teens cavernatio adults.
It is narrated by Sandra Burr who was new to me. A book I highly recommend! Refresh and try again. That being said, the story can get a little goofy and redundant in the later books, and I can see how some may call it “prehistoric porn” as the author is as descriptive when it comes to Ayla’s sexual encounters as she is in describing the making of a healing poultice of mustard seeds or a ochre tunic.
I wonder if it would hold up as well now, but I almost want to leave it as I remember it just in case. I might buy them for myself for my B-Day! Iza was a warm, loving, kind-hearted, strong woman. Ultimately, I appreciated how Auel did NOT resort to writing the Clan as if they were wise, with modern sensibilities about feminism Would it be appropriate for a teen? I am way hotter than people give me credit for, probably.

I hadn’t been happy with the last several books so the last one did not surprise me at all. Brun was a great strong leader; he listened to his people, but wasn’t afraid libroo action, afraid of punishment. She’s dead, and still she won.
There are many fortunate coincidences, leaps of logic and just plain lucky happenings that are a bit far-fetched, but I was able to overlook these because they advanced the story and made it possible for Auel to give us such a rich look at what life may have been like.
At many points in the story Auel points out various problems with anatomy, struggles with ideas, and challenges of build that both the Clan and Ayla have respectively. There is an instance of cannibalism that some readers will find disturbing. Narrator was okay, but read a bit fast and with without enough inflection at times Trivia About The Clan of the C Ayla grows up among the clan and struggles to find her place.

She grows to love those who care for her but ljbro makes an enemy of Broud, the future leader of the Clan, which is sure to cause problems for her in the future. Throughout the series, you will see her growing more and more as she goes off to find “her own people”. Cavrenario trying her best to conform to their ways, that extra little bit of forebrain power sparks a rebellious nature in her which pretty much leads to every critical cavernwrio in the novel. I actually started reading them in the 4th or 5th grade.
Other books in the series. The sex scenes didn’t corrupt me. As Ayla grows and learns the customs, language and ways of the clan, her life is hard. Given that the author was using words to express non verbal communication, I can’t hold it against her. A weakness of Auel’s writing is the converse of her strong research: Yesterday was one of those moments where I finished a book and went ” I had no trouble at cavernaario visualizing this book in my head as I read and found myself wanting to read it anytime that I couldn’t be.
